The social media are fast information channels If incidents occur and we need to get information out quickly, the social media are the right channel to use. These media also give us an opportunity to inform, answer and listen. The threshold for negative and positive user feedback is low.
In addition to private individuals, professionals use the social media more than before, both to provide and acquire information. By using Facebook and Twitter in addition to our own website, we make information available to a lot of people, and it easy to forward it to others.
